Hayley Beresford set to leave Isabell Werth's barn
It is with a sad farewell that Hayley will be leaving Isabell’s stables, as a friend, student and employee.
At Dressage with the stars in 2000, Hayley took part in the Isabell Werth masterclass with her beautiful black, one eyed gelding Glactic. Four years later, Hayley and Isabell crossed paths again at a clinic in Perth where Hayley was once again riding Galactic. Both Hayley and Isabell hit it off immediately. So when Hayley recieved an email from Isabell some weeks later, asking if she would be interested in looking at a horse Isabell had in her stables, and also to train for a few weeks; Hayley jumped at the chance.
What started out as a few weeks of training then turned into a return visit 3 weeks later. It was on this second visit that the decision was made for Hayley to stay on permanently.
In November 2006, Hayley arrived at Isabell’s stables in Rheinberg Germany. Since then Hayley has spent the past 4 years learning, training & competing under the ever watchful eye of one of the worlds best Dressage riders and trainers.
Since her move to Germany, Hayley has had some major celebrations. In 2007 Hayley made her first International debut at the Horses & Dreams show in Hagen with Relampago do Retiro (Reli) in both the PSG and Int I. The following year, Hayley and Reli represented Australia at the Olympic games in Beijing and shortly after ‚living the dream’ Hayley was able to fulfil another. In a beautiful wedding ceremony in Positano (Italy) Hayley married the man of her dreams, Kian Bullock. With all this success and happiness, it was time for another personal success. Since having been originally diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 2004, Hayley was finally given the news that she is cancer free in January, 2010!
It is said that all good things must eventually come to an end, and once again Hayley will be on the move. Although it’s not the end of anything, just the beginning of a new chapter in Hayley’s life. This time the move is not global, Hayley, Kian, the dogs and Reli will be
relocating from Rheinberg in Germany to Grabs in Switzerland.
Hayley’s hubby Kian is a civil Engineer and has been offered a fantastic job opportunity, that is too good to pass up. Hayley has also found a new base in Switzerland at the Dressage Centre of Otto Hofer. Here Hayley will be able to take over the training and is very much looking forward to the new set of challenges ahead.
It is with a somewhat sad farewell that Hayley will be leaving Isabell’s stables, as a friend, student and employee. Not to mention leaving all but one of her horses there. However Hayley is absoloutely clear that Isabell & Ton de Ridder will remain her coaches and will continue to work closely together to ensure the lead up to both Kentucky and London prove successful.
We wish Hayley, Kian, Reli and the dogs a stress free move and hope that 2010 proves to be yet another successful year!
