Day one: Arrival and settling in.

I am lucky enough to have parents who only live an hour or so from Werribee (in Kyneton) so I make the trip down from Sydney a few days earlier and spend it with the family.

I left home at 2 o'clock in the afternoon after having a relaxed training session where 'Cam' (Northern Campion) worked really well and relaxed. On arrival at the National Equestrian Centre cars, floats and horses were everywhere! Trades people setting up stands, other competitors getting settled in and general organised chaos.

Cam was at home straight away in his box and that gave me the opportunity to unpack myself.

Tomorrow will be an interesting day with the trot up in the morning. The schedule states that the Young rider horses run first, then the CDI horses (non stallions) and then all of the stallions will trot up in their own group one after another! Fingers crossed all will go well and there not be any stallions running a muck!

Check back again as Nadia will be blogging each day from Dressage with the Stars!

Previous Australian Grand Prix Champion, trained with Kristy Oatley, Nadia competes Northern Campion at Grand Prix and her young superstar Carlyle at Small Tour. She also teaches and travels for clinics Australia wide. You can read more about Nadia here.
